John Canto has been involved in the pigeon game for decades and has been very successful at it.  He grades and selects his pigeons very hard and looks for certain physical traits and qualities which can be found in the birds offered in this auction.  Not to mention the quality of their eyes which can easily be seen in the photos.  This is a group of classy birds with some classy genetics as John spares no expense when searching for quality stock to bring into his breeding loft.  

His success began in club racing winning 2nd, 3rd and 5th National Ace Pigeons Racing Pigeon Digest Awards with over 2,000 birds per race.  He won many South New England Championships and won just about every special race in his combine.  All while flying on the longest end, flying 364 miles in a 300 mile race. 

Then his success continued in the one loft races.  Winning the New England Derby OLR two years in a row, won the Flamingo OLR, eq. 1st California Classic, Hoosier 250 mile race, this year he put three in the money in the Hoosier and had two on the first drop in the final of the Dairyland Derby, top performer at the Peach Classic which is in this auction, 4th Cotton Classic 285 miles.  Plus, numerous other money winners.

This auction provides fanciers with the opportunity to obtain not only top genetics, but also performance based birds as well as several top OLR performers themselves in this sale.  John wanted to provide quality birds in the hand, with performance backgrounds and for those who like good eyes, he provided birds that have that characteristic as well.
