The total sale of the Kolvenbag & Son breeders broke records on BestPigeons.com last October.  Now we are offering birds returning from the OLRs at Texas Dash for Cash, BlackGold Race, USA Pigeon Derby and Cuevas Classic; including

We have built a family that can be competitive and win One Loft Races in the US and international. Based on the Queen L family of Jelle Roziers crossed with the Huyskens van Riel, we have laid a foundation for many generations of great racers and breeders.  Our breeding program is line breeding based on the principle to cross out one generation and the next generation to breed back to the family while selecting on performance. This way the genepool got enriched and maintained at the same time.    The plan was to breed young birds that can win 300 mile races and not lose too much time on the short distances so they can be competitive in the Ace bird Championships; by breeding several rounds, race them all, race them all the way and select hard. By sticking to this plan, we have been consistently at the top in US OLRs for many years and were crowned the USA Number 1 OLR breeder in 2021.  Even with the theft of all our breeders in 2023, we did not miss a beat.  This was possible because our race team was still at the OLRs and the temporary return of some of our loaned out birds.  Hence we could continue with the successful gene pool without missing a beat: this is a true testimony how strong this basis of this family is.   As said the family is based on the Queen L family of Jelle Roziers, with birds like Blauwe Jelle and Jolie L,  the King of Kennett, Tulsa, Destiny  - the breeding wonder and only brother to the Famous Three Sisters (GIGI, Little Blue and IQ), White Knight, Angelica and Argentina.   These were crossed with the Huyskens van Riel, like Lady Liberty with offspring like Pandora and her daughter Orsha have been very impactful.    Another great contribution for the heavy duty work was the cross with Charlemagne, which you will see in the pedigree of many hard day race winners. These birds mentioned above are weaved into the fabric of this successful family today for Kolvenbag & Son and for the many fanciers who have obtained birds from Kolvenbag & Son.
